We reserved CLC’s bus to do a brewery tour of Seneca Lake. Cheryl and Jim could not have been more gracious or enjoyable to work with. Cheryl was excited to set up the trip and made it easy to do so; she even called the day before to confirm. Jim drove and was easygoing, happy, and offered great tips throughout the entire trip. They even stored snacks for us in case we got hungry. And the trip was a bargain! The bus was immaculate. If we ever do something like this again, there is no question we would go with CLC tours.

 We loved the cabin!!

Left on Feb 13, 2018 for a stay in Feb 2018

The purpose of our trip was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We’ve been to the Finger Lakes numerous times but always stayed in a hotel near Lake Seneca. This time we decided to pick a cabin and luckily found the Cayuga Cabins. They are impeccably clean and the perfect size for a couple or small family. The modern amenities make you feel right at home. We will most definitely stay at the cabins again. By far the nicest cabins we’ve ever stayed in! Great job Cheryl and Jim!!

Great Vacation – thank you!

“The stay in Ovid was outstanding. The cabin was perfect with all of the modern amenities. Spotlessly clean, great comfortable beds, and centrally located in the Finger Lakes. We had the perfect Thanksgiving using the well appointed kitchen and the Santos’ were great.”

This is the best HomeAway place we have stayed by a mile! The cabins are fantastic, and fully stocked with anything you could possibly need (there is even fire wood for the fire pit for you to use). All furniture is new and comfortable. The location is unbeatable (right on the wine trail). And the owners are so nice and welcoming (they leave a binder with all suggestion, coupons, contact info, etc., that you could ever need in the area). We will never stay anywhere else in this area!

Of note, the cabins are right next to one another in a private area, so if both are available you can stay here with bigger groups too! There is even a common area fire pit with tons of seating inbetween the two cabins!

In summary: the owners are amazing, the cabins are luxurious and comfortable, and the location is unbeatable!

A Perfect Getaway Weekend

“5 Stars”

My Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday and have a kid-free getaway…it was perfect!!! Jim and Cheryl are the nicest people and greeted us with such a warm welcome when we arrived. This was our first time to Cayuga Lake and Cheryl was super helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat prior to our arrival.

The cabin is amazing, they have built a beautiful little piece of heaven!! It is very comfortable and well appointed with anything you could need. The Kitchen is well stocked with cook wear, bakeware, grilling supplies, serving wear and utensils. Our favorite part of the cabin was the outdoor fire pit, which we sat around every night having a nice time with our cabin neighbors. It’s a great set-up with lots of chairs and they provide firewood.

Cheryl and Jim also have a transportation company called CLC Tours and the highlight of our trip was a winery tour led by Jim. He put together an itinerary that was fantastic!! We went to 5 wineries, stopped off at Busy Bee for Lunch and even got to see the waterfall at Taughannock Falls State Park, which was breathtaking. They also offer light snacks and water on the van which is a nice touch!

On our last morning we finally got to take advantage of the lake and took the Kayaks out for a spin. It is a steep walk down to the lake but I didn’t find it to be an issue, it helped me to burn off the S’mores from the night before 🙂 The area they have down by the lake is really nice with a covered pavilion that had tables and chairs and a nice dock that goes out to the water. It truly is such a beautiful view!

We had such a wonderful time at Cayuga Lake Cabins and my only complaint is that we didn’t have more time to stay! We look forward to coming back to enjoy this little piece of heaven. Many thanks again Jim and Cheryl, we look forward to seeing you soon!!

Beautiful cabin great location

The accommodations here are outstanding with everything you may need for your stay. Fully equipped kitchen and every amenity needed is supplied. It is private, clean and inviting. I can’t say enough about Jim and Cheryl, they are truly caring and loving people that made us feel like family. We wish that we didn’t have to leave but we definitely will be returning with our dogs as they are very pet friendly.
Thank you Jim and Cheryl

Lovely cabin perfectly located to explore Wine trails and Finger Lakes Beauty

My husband and I usually plan a fall mini vacation around our anniversary, which is in the fall. We both love the outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking but also love interesting cities, good wine and good food. This cabin’s surroundings and central location was perfect. The cabin lived up to it’s description of being rustic yet modern. Fully equipped, clean and tidy, beautifully appointed furniture and some nice touches including board games, some books about the area and a nice selection of movies for a quiet evening. Although it was just the two of use it would comfortably accommodate another couple and with pull out couch maybe 6 people. The fire pit was awesome and we joined our neighbours on our last night for wine and nice conversation. We had not planned to do any cooking as our focus was to tour wine country, eating at interesting places, visit some state parks, and go mountain biking. However you certainly could have had all your meals there and there are grocery stores in close proximity that would allow you to do that. In the local area around Cayuga Lake, we toured several wineries/vineyards, a goat farm that produced amazing cheeses, had a lovely breakfast at Busy Bee Market, and visited and did some biking in Taughannock Park ( the falls there are amazing). The fall colours were at their peak and the scenery in the area is breath taking. You are in close proximity as well to Seneca Lake so we did visit that area and had lunch in Geneva at a nicely appointed pub called Stone Cutters at Belhurst Castle. That was worth the 35 minute drive and we ended up driving all around the lake. If you are a mountain bike enthusiast a visit to Shindagin Hollow State forest is really a must do. Fabulous trails. About an hour from the cabin, south of Ithaca. The bonus here is that Ithaca is a lovely city, with a lot of restaurants and the drive is also breath taking. We must admit we did not spend that much time at the cabin nor did we really take advantage of lake but if you wanted to place to just relax and chill, it was pretty perfect. Thank you Cheryl and Jim for a memorable experience.

Great getaway

We had such a nice stay at this cabin. It is even more beautiful in person than the pictures show. Such a peaceful spot but not too far from civilization. The fire pit is lovely and having everything we needed provided is great. The kids loved it, we loved it and can’t wait to come back in the summer when we can swim.

Amazing

What a wonderful cottage. When we walked in, the aroma of fresh, new wood greeted us. The cottage is excellently appointed, clean and welcoming. We wanted for nothing except more time to spend in this home away from home. My wish is to come back in the spring with my son and his family and rent both cottages.
